Idaho Bar Exam
The following information comes from the Idaho State Bar and the National Conference of Bar Examiners. While the information is believed to be correct, it should be used for general guidance only. Contact the Idaho State Bar directly for authoritative information.
The deadlines for bar applications are October 1 for the February exam and March 1 for the July exam. A $100 late fee is assessed on applications submitted after these deadlines but before the final deadlines of November 15 or April 15.
Idaho's passing score is 70% of all possible points on the examination as a whole. Applicants also must pass the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) with a scaled score of 85 either before or within two MPRE administrations after passing the bar exam.

Starting with the February 2012 exam, Idaho has adopted the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE). The two-day exam consists of

- business organizations (agency, partnership, corporations, LLCs)
- civil procedure (federal)
- conflict of laws
- constitutional law
- contracts, including UCC Article 2 sales
- criminal law and procedure
- estates and trusts (wills)
- ethics (professional responsibility)
- evidence (federal)
- family law
- real property
- torts
- Uniform Commercial Code Articles 2 (sales), 3 (negotiable instruments), and 9 (secured transactions)
Idaho will accept transfer UBE scores of 280 or above from applicants who have taken the UBE in another UBE jurisdiction within the last 37 months. Idaho also accepts transfer MBE scores from any jurisdiction for 37 months. In addition, Idaho has reciprocity with the following jurisdictions:
