The University of Idaho College of Law’s Thirteenth Annual Northwest Institute will offer mediation training in three different locations.

May 18-22, 2009, in Moscow, we will offer two 40-hour basic mediation courses — one for family and the other for civil mediation, and a 20-hour course focused on effective arbitration.

May 27-29, 2009 we are hosting a 20-hour Advanced Civil Mediation course with the U.S. District Court in Boise, ID.

October 7-9, 2009 we are partnering with the Conflict Resolution Center of the Inland Northwest to offer two Advanced Mediation courses - "The Evolution of Resources for Divorcing Families" and "Between a Rock and a Hard Place".

The University of Idaho College of Law established the Northwest Institute for Dispute Resolution in 1997 to meet the growing demand for high-quality dispute resolution training in the Northwest at a reasonable price. Each year the institute features nationally recognized faculty. This year we are proud to bring back trainers Bob Collins, Kimberlee Kovach, Merlyn Clark, Eric Galton and Chip Rose, and to introduce Tracy Allen and Mark Mays.

The Civil and Family Mediation courses are designed to meet the federal and state courts’ requirements for basic mediation training.
