Tribal and Immigration Clinic

Tribal and Immigration (General Clinic II) Clinic students work on a variety of cases and projects, involving members of the Nez Perce and other tribes, and nationals of other countries living in the United States. Students are responsible for all aspects of client representation and implementation of projects. |
Examples of students work include:
- Defending adult tribal members in misdemeanor and felony criminal matters in Nez Perce Tribal Court;
- Representing juvenile tribal members in delinquency cases;
- Representing immigrants in deportation proceedings before Immigration Judges, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and Federal Courts;
- Advocating for immigrants in their applications for permanent residence, citizenship, and political asylum filed with the Department of Homeland Security, and
- Developing and implementing community outreach and education programs.
- Interested students may also work on international human rights cases.
